Updated Skin :: Lake

Hello everyone! soundspretty has made an updated version of the Lake skin. The new one is labeled Lake, and the old one (for comparison) is Lake2. Please post any comments here.



Note: The skin is known to be missing the story end module stuff ("[author] is also the author of X stories. People who liked X also liked..."). Also missing is the browse by word count on the browse pages. This is because I added these features at the main site after this skin was originally made and is no reflection on soundspretty. : )

New Skin :: Photobooth

Hello all you testers. The new Photobooth skin is almost ready for the grand reveal. I know there are a couple here, so the one I'm talking about is called PhotoboothNEW. If you all could give it a run-through and leave some comments here, that'd be great. Thanks so much!


Also, some forewarning. There's a new version of eFiction out, so in the next week or so I'll be updating this test site to 3.5.1. If it works well, I'll be updating the main site. The main site is one version behind currently because v3.5, which the test site currently runs, was buggy. (Re: crazy warnings the site pops up once in a while, that you've seen.)

Story Tracker Module

Post problems/question for the Story Tracker module here.



This module will allow your members to "track" stories. The module includes a panel for the "Browse" page that lists all stories tracked by that person, and also in your Account Info because I'm awesome that way. The module also marks any stories you are tracking that have been updated since you last
read them with the "New!" marker. This is independent of whether or not the site has a #
of recent days set.



The only skin that's fully functional for it is Valentine2. This is the only one where you'll see the links to "Track this Story". To see what you're tracking, click the "Tracked Stories" links in your Account Info or under Browse.

New Skin

There's a new skin to test, name Valentine2 here. It will be replacing the existing Valentine skin at the archive. I'd appreciate all beta testers to look through it as thoroughly as possible and leave comments to this thread.

Beta Testing? What's the Big Deal?



1805 unique average daily visits. 1,876,794 hits. 30 gigabytes transferred. These are the stats for November 2008 for dracoandginny.com (including all subdomains), which is actually on a downward trend.


With approximately 1800 unique visitors a day, it's very important to ensure that the site functions as good as it can. Beta testers here on this test site help to verify and check through the new features and skins.


Please take a look at my testers page and email me or reply here with your info. I need to make sure we're getting good coverage on all the browsers out there.

Another news post!

This is no way detracts from Ro's last news post - everyone check out her skin! I just wanted to say that I'm working on PhotoBooth here, to replace PhotoBooth3 on the archive. Right now it's got some issues, but within the next few days I'll be needing some hardcore testing done. Just a head's up!



The PhotoBooth I'm fixing = PhotoBooth. PhotoBooth20 is the 2.0 version, only there for reference.

Another skin

Hey, I've added another skin, Lake.

Opinions would be appreciated.

Edit: Things that I've fixed. In the listing I changed the colors to greenish colors.

I've changed the black on the title bars to an off-white but I'm thinking of toning down the green in the topper and switching back to black.

I think I've fixed the padding thing in the tabs in profile. But I'm using IE7 so it might just be me.

And I'll work on the header the next chance I get.

More upgrade

Upgraded to 3.3.1. Will have the same bugs as FIA after an upgrade, ie rss.php. Shouldn't matter, but let me know of any problems.

More skins

I changed around the index layout in the BathtimeZen skin, and added the Blanket skin. Still have to figure out how to move the pages down below the banner (I swear it's in style.css somewhere...), but other than it's looking good. Found it!



Added pageviews to listings.tpl in BathtimeZen. PhotoBooth is now up and running (needs a small bit of editing). Comments appreciated.

Just finished redoing the color scheme on Blanket.

New skin

There is a new skin, titled "BathtimeZen". I barely had anything to do with its creation - all credit goes to Scarlett Rayne. I'll be updating it with the Affiliates and Most Recent, all that stuff.



Check it out and let me know what you think.

Known bugs

Here are the problems that I know about, in case you find something. If you do, tell me how you navigated to it, and a copy-paste of the error would be spectacular. You can even use the Contact feature in my profile, and test that out! (Though it worked for me.)



Here's the ones I've found:

-Sometimes adding favorites works, sometimes it doesn't.

-Errors when clicking Warnings in the Browse feature There were no warnings, so it couldn't find them. Fixed.

-Errors when clicking the letters in Titles in the Browse feature Fixed in 3.0.2

-The browse drop-downs don't do anything - sorta fixed?
